get to (somebody) = annoy or upset (somebody)
examples:
  • Her laughter is starting to get to me! Does it have to be so loud?
  • I know he is rude but don't let him get to you. He is like that with everybody. It 's just his way.
  • I didn't mind his jokes at first but after a while they started to get to me.
  • Seeing all that pain and suffering, it really got to me.
  • Doesn't it get to you that you see sick people all day at the hospital?
